Isaiah Thompson is a brewer, designer, and software engineer currently living in Denver, Colorado. He is both a graduate of the University of Denver and a proud alumni of Destination Imagination.

Isaiah grew up in the small mountain town of Pagosa Springs, Colorado. After first discovering his love for programming there, he then went on to study Computer Science at the University of Denver. During his time there, he became involved with the Emergent Digital Practices (EDP) department. This gave him an outlet to combine his software knowledge with his penchant for art into a beautiful blending of the two. He eventually graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science with minors in Mathematics and EDP.

He also became involved with many on campus organizations, some of which in a leadership role. These included Skintight Outrage (DU’s premiere, and only, improvisational comedy group), DU Service and Change, DU Latin Dance Club, Club Ultimate Frisbee, and Theta Chi Fraternity.

Post graduation, Isaiah went on to work in the beer world. Starting as a mere busboy at Blue Moon Brewing Company. It was there he first fell in love with beer after discovering the many styles and cultural traditions that informed them.

He then went on to network within the brewing industry in Denver until he was able to secure his first back of house position at New Image Brewing Company. Starting on the packaging team, he proved himself and was trained on the brewing side, joining the ranks of the professional brewing community by the time he was 22. He continued to work and brew at New Image Brewing for the next two years.
